Lawn Mower Will Not Start

• Battery not charged: Fully charge the RYOBI battery pack using the approved charger before operating the mower.
• Battery not seated correctly: Remove and reinstall the battery until it locks firmly into the battery compartment.
• Safety key not installed: Insert the start key or safety key according to the model-specific manual.

Mower Starts then Stops

• Grass too tall or thick: Raise the cutting height and mow slowly to reduce motor load.
• Blade blocked: Remove the battery and safety key, then clear grass, twigs, stones, or debris from the blade area.

Mower Does Not Cut Grass Properly

• Side discharge clogs: Raise the cutting height, reduce walking speed, and clean the discharge opening.
• Clippings clump: Mow dry grass, clean the underside of the deck, and avoid cutting more than one-third of the grass height.
